Q: Internet
Sync/Backup |
|
 |
How
can I sychronize or backup over the Internet? |
| |
|
A:
Synchronize! can automatically connect to the Internet and sync
an iDisk (a free Apple Internet disk). For more information about
iDisk, visit Apple's web site
and click on "iTools".
If you check the Enable File Sharing clients to connect over TCP/IP box in
the File Sharing control panel in Mac OS 9, and the Macintosh is connected to
the Internet, you can connect to that Macintosh using its TCP/IP address. To
connect, open the Chooser, click the "Server IP Address" button and enter the
TCP/IP address.

Q: Copy / Don't copy files
|
 |
Why aren't my files included as I expect?
|
| |
|
A:
The "Copy only files" settings are checked for each file first, then
the "Don't copy files" settings are checked. For example, if you set
Copy only files to "whose names contain "xxxx" and
Don't copy files to "files whose labels are Cool", a file
called "Sync me xxxx" with the label "Cool"
would not be copied.
