Backup Simplicity is a simple way to protect the information on your computer. It ensures that the information on your computer will still be around if your computer's hard disk dies. It can also help you retrieve documents that were accidentally trashed.

Backup Simplicity uses the same professional-quality, high-speed backup engine in Synchronize! Pro X, so your backups are secure, correct, and quick.

Did you know that a hard disk (that's the device used to store everything on your computer) may fail at any time? Most last a long time, usually years, but some fail sooner and all eventually fail. It's a random thing, and if the disk fails, all the letters, email, pictures, and tunes that you have on your computer are toast.

A hard disk failure is the worst, but accidentally losing a document that you've worked on is pretty bad, too. Sometimes you don't notice that an important document was accidentally trashed until weeks after it happened.

Tiger ready - Backup Simplicity works on Tiger, Panther and Jaguar (OS X 10.4, 10.3, and 10.2). On Tiger, Backup Simplicity copies "extended attributes" for files.

No Leopard support - Backup Simplicity will not be extended to work on Leopard (Mac OS X 10.5) or later systems.

To use this software, you'll need Mac OS X 10.2.3 or later and a second disk drive connected to your computer. This disk is usually a FireWire disk, but an IDE disk can also be installed inside Macintosh desktop computers. IDE disks are less expensive than FireWire disks, but FireWire disks are easier to move from one computer to another.

Use it for free for a week. If you don't like having a backup of your system, and a way to retrieve old files that may have been trashed or modified accidentally, you're not out a thing.

When you purchase a license, you may use the version of the Backup Simplicity available at the time of your purchase for as long as you wish. You may also use other versions of the Software as may be released within two years of your purchase. To use versions of the software released more than two years after your license purchase, an additional purchase (a "license renewal") will be necessary.
